What are these things?! We get asked so many questions about the natural occurrences and creatures we have living in South Walton. Here are top three to start with!


💙Blue Button: Not a jellyfish, but actually a hydroid. Sting is very mild irritant.

❗️Portuguese Man of War: Not a jellyfish, but actually a colony of individual organisms called a siphonophore. Sting is rarely deadly for humans, but can be extremely painful.
